On the last day of school, in the Elementary, we have another “awards ceremony” where the teachers give out 3rd, 4th and honorable mention ribbons as well as character awards and citizenship awards. Then each class has a party to celebrate the end of the school year. Below are pictures we captured from our boy’s awards and parties.
The 3rd through 6th grade kids are in Choir and they sang a song at the beginning of the awards chapel and another one at the end. Karen Blankenship is the director and she does a fabulous job!
Here is Jacob receiving a few of his awards from his teacher Mrs. Green. He received the “Reminder Award” for always reminding her of the things she had forgotten. LOL
Taylor’s teacher-Jenny Crotts does a really cool thing with her character awards. She picks out a historical figure that the kids studied that past year and applies them to each child. Then she makes up her certificates and puts them in a frame for each of them. This year Taylor received the “Robert E. Lee” award for always obeying the rules.
Jorden’s teacher-Jessica Sickler-gave “Christ-like” character awards to her students. Jorden received the “Steadfast” award for remaining steady all the way to the end of the school year.
Jeff and I were very proud of all three of them. They all made the A Honor Roll for the last nine weeks and received an A average for the year.
All three boys had “Hawaiian” as their party theme this year. Wonder if it is because the dollar store has lots of decorations in that theme??? Hmmm….
This is Jorden’s class. His teacher, Miss Sickler, is moving to Ohio to work at another school next year. She has been so wonderful for Jorden. We will miss her so much next year!
Water games outside with the 5th and 6th grade…FUN!!
Mrs. Crotts always prays with her class before they leave at the end of the school year. She is such a wonderful Godly example to her students!
Taylor’s class also did the limbo…this is his friend Melanie who is very good at this. I think she won.
Jacob with his teacher- Mrs Cheryl Green. She was such a blessing to us and our school. All three of our boys were so blessed to have wonderful teachers.
Jacob and his buddy-Caleb.
We had a wonderful day celebrating the end of the school year. Jeff took off work that day and for the first time got to attend the award chapel and parties with us.
