A Day at the Zoo

This week we took the kids to the Birmingham Zoo for the day. On Tuesday’s they have 1/2 price day so we try to take advantage of that. We also like to go as early in the morning as we can and leave around lunch time and go as early in June as we can to avoid the heat. It started out pretty nice, but by the time we left around 1:00 pm it we pretty miserable.  The heat just pulls the energy right out of you. It took a couple of days for mom and I to recoup. :-)

We took Bailey and Mallory with us (my brother’s children) and we had so much fun.
