Christmas Party at the Womelsdorf's Home

No, I haven't fallen off the end of the world, just got VERY caught up in various Christmas activities that left me NO TIME to post a blog. I was just looking at everyone blogs that I follow and am once again amazed at how much you guys have posted since I have last been on here. Where on earth do you find the time? The only time I could have done this lately would have been during the middle of the night. However, I hate to admit this, but I HAVE to have my sleep!! Ha! I finally ran my boys off the computer where they were playing "Age of Empires III" once again, so that I could post pictures of our various Christmas activities of late. These next pictures are from last weekend (a week ago) and are from a party that was held at our friends house (the Womelsdorfs). We all had such a wonderful time. We ate way too much food then played games. Jeff enjoyed 6 handed Rook (which he said was quite interesting) and I enjoyed one of my favorite games-Dutch Blitz! We didn't have enough people so Jorden and Taylor (our oldest two) were talked into playing. They both hadn't played but maybe one other time so I wasn't sure how they would do. They both did extremely well-especially Jorden. Everyone was wanting them on their teams after we realized how well they did.

Valerie and Jonathan were worried we wouldn't have enough food. Everyone brought their favorite finger food. I am pretty sure we had enough and then some...

What a cutie! (Jonathan and Valerie's little boy Drew)

Rook!
Our friends-Joseph and Christy. They had babysitters that night! How nice for them!

My parents! Aren't they the handsome couple? I love this picture of them!

Nice smile Leonard!

Jonathan has complained that he hasn't been on my blog yet. But when I tried to take a picture of him, he turned his head or hid every time. Hmmm....

Getting ready to play Dutch Blitz. Valerie and I like to team up. We do pretty good together! She is my favorite partner! Ha! She is still finishing up her food. We all like to tease her about how long it takes her to eat. But she was pretty busy seeing to everyone one elses needs and was one of the last ones to sit down to eat.
About 10:30 the electricity went off for no apparent reason. We all accused Valerie of flipping the breaker to make us all go home so she could go to bed. Ha! It is kind of hard to play Dutch Blitz in the dark, and really hard to play with candles sitting on the middle of the table. So that pretty much ended the party. But as I said before, we all had a really great time.
Lights out!

Dutch Blitz is my absolte FAVORITE game, but can find noone around here to play it with! Glad you didn't try playing with candles in the middle of the table - might have been a little dangerous! What a fun time it looks like you had and a great picture of your parents, whom I've never seen!

I love your title picture of your boys in front of the Christmas tree!
