This year we had Christmas at my parents house on Sunday evening before Christmas. It is very hard to work around my brother Larry’s and his son, Hunter’s work schedules. They are both firemen/medics. But this year it worked out great and we were all able to be there. Lots of laughing and talking and eating!!
Miss Mallory-our little princess
My handsome firstborn
Everyone is gathered around Harlie’s phone to watch a video of Mallory at her dance recital…Gotta love those little screens! ha!
Mom’s beautiful tree
Mallory showing off her flexibility…
Mallory still believes in Santa Claus and kept asking when he was going to come. My dad owns a suit so we decided to see if he could pull off being Santa again this year without her realizing it was him. (He did it in 2008 when she was 2 1/2. She never knew it was him, but remembered Santa came to NanNaw’s.)
Wish you could see her face better…
She was so excited!
Here is “Santa” coming in the backdoor. We were all about to die laughing at my dad. He was afraid to stay long in case she figured out who it was. All he would say is Ho! Ho! Ho! and dance around. Later she imitated him perfectly. It was so hilarious!
He and mom thought fast and found an extra stuffed Christmas toy she had previously used for decoration. Now it belongs to Mallory! ha!
Daddy came in later acting like he had missed the whole thing because he was in the bathroom! She never suspected a thing! It was so cute!
My sweet sister-in-law, Gina and Hunter’s sweetheart-Melissa
I shopped with daddy for mother’s gifts (a long-time tradition of ours), then I wrapped them for him. This was a bucket from Bath and Body Works full of all kinds of goodies. I wrapped it like was and it looked like a 5 gallon bucket of paint. Mom was sure that was what it was…(so was everyone else!)
Surprise!
A beautiful purse from Hunter, Harlie and Karen
Taylor unwrapping a new “body pillow”.
Another one of my sweet sister-in-laws-Stacy
Daddy gave Gina and Stacy a very nice pair of scissors with a leather case he made. They are very nice!
My nephew Bailey….
My niece Harlie and nephew Hunter
Passing out Christmas presents…
Daddy got a new laptop!
Love Gina’s new scarf!
My boys love to laugh!
Mallory is a big Alabama fan. (much to our dismay! Ha! Ha!)
Taylor with his new pillow from mom and dad.
Jacob bought mom hand soap from our Santa Shop at school.
A new scarf from Stacy.
Mallory wanted an Alabama bean bag for Christmas. She was sure that is what this was. We had a lot of fun teasing her about it. Larry is trying to help her get into it. Around our house at Christmas time, all the guys get a knife as a gift. We never have any problem finding someone to help open something. All you gotta say is “Anybody got a knife?” and 9 knifes are right there…
Love her expressions!
She was so excited!
On no, more Alabama stuff! (We kept telling her it was Auburn!)
Stacy and Lynn gave mom this beautiful picture frame.
Daddy sat there and studied the pictures and then said “I don’t believe I know any of those folks.” Ha! Ha! (It still had the original papers that come with it)
I thought this was hilarious! Looks like she is throwing it over her head.
Daddy made Jacob (and Taylor) a new leather belt.
Mallory finished opening her gifts and decided to help mom open hers.
She was a big help!
The two babies of our family!
Love these two cuties!
Wonder what they are discussing?
Daddy telling Larry one of his stories…
Caught these two curled up together watching a movie…
Bailey is still recouping from the flu…he was really quiet all evening
Looks like they are having a great time…
Merry Christmas! (we forgot to take family pictures! I’m so sad! )
