Here are some pictures from church and around our house that we’ve taken this Christmas.
Our boys and some other kids from our church “signed” Silent Night the first Sunday in December. Thank you Mrs. Holly for teaching them. It was awesome!!
This is Miss Kayla Grace-my little buddy from church. She is our pastor’s daughter and I’ve just fallen in love with her.
Isn’t she a doll? We have so much fun with her.
My wonderful parents-Tommy and Honey
Handsome couple
My boys with their grandparents (notice how Jorden is taller than my mom now? And Taylor is stretching his neck-he wants to be so bad and is pretty close!)
My parents with me… (had I known we were going to do this, I wouldn’t have worn my glowing green top…)
Church Christmas Program-2010
Taylor is on the end-he was a wise man, then Ryan who was also a wise man. Next is Caitlin (one of our van kids) who was a shepherdess.
Jacob is way down on the end-he was Joseph, Caitlan was Mary, then Jerrel who was a donkey (you can’t see him very well) then Beth who helped us with the kids, three of our van kids were angels then Jessica who was Angel #1.
Our beautiful church tree Our Pastor-Jon Earls
The manger scene-built by our Pastor
Jorden was Shepherd #1
He was so thankful he could read his part with all he has going on at school right now.
Jorden and Jessica
Our van kids did a great job!! They made beautiful angels. Two of our older youth girls-Aretha and Monique were also angels.
Aren’t they adorable?
There is Jerrel in the front with his stuffed donkey. He had to memorize his part since he can’t read all of those words yet. He did a GREAT job! I am so proud of him. (can you tell I’m his Kindergarten teacher at school?)
Larise, Taylor and Ryan-(the three wise men)
We were so worried that they would trip over their costumes. They looked so cute!! And thankfully, no one tripped! Thank you Mrs. Christy Hedstrom for doing a great job with our costumes once again this year!
I had to post this picture of little “Ty”. Look at that yawn! She obviously was getting sleepy and tired! Ha!
There’s Jacob, way back in the back again.
Thanks, Mrs. Michelle Earls for doing a great job with our program!!
A Messner Family Advent Celebration
This is our fancy Nativity. I love it! It can’t get broken and you are free to move it’s pieces around each week as you tell the Christmas story.
Our boys have really enjoyed it! Some day, I will have a nice, expensive one. But for now, this works for us!
Each Sunday night we have family Advent. This year, we bought a new ring to hold our candles. It is pewter and has the verse from Isaiah 9:1-2 inscribed on it. It is simple, but I really like it. So sorry for the cup (of hot tea, not coffee by the way) and the laundry basket sitting there. Typical scene from our house though.
We did our Advent devotions before our evening service this week due to the fact that we were having a fellowship after church and weren’t sure what time we would get home. (Jeff, Jacob and I came home at 9:00 pm, the other two….well let’s just say it was early Monday morning!-good thing we didn’t wait up!)
Candlelight Service and Concert
We had a candlelight service at church this past Sunday evening with special guest singers- the Stetler Trio. They were AWESOME!! What a great job they did!!
Paul Stetler plays the piano so beautifully!!
His sisters-I don’t know their names-sing like all Stetlers, just beautifully!!
One of my favorite parts of Christmas-the Candlelight Service!
It’s so pretty!!
Jacob was being very careful with his candle.
Messner Family Photo Shoot
-always a joy!
Okay everybody, get in your places…get that sheep back where it belongs Jorden…Oops, the Pastor’s not supposed to be in this picture…where’s Jacob run off to?
Good except Jacob’s smile is a little over done there…
Not quiet as bad…
Now Jacob’s got the “sneaky” look on his face.
Oh well, I deleted the one’s where Jorden is asleep and I am talking…
Thanks Daniel for trying so hard!!
