The last part of our vacation was as busy as the first. I will try not to bore you too much but here is what we did Thursday-
Saturday. (It’s kind of long-sorry)
We visited the Fort Lauren museum
Watching a little film about the fort.
They had different little displays in the museum
What a handsome dude! Very realistic looking
Jacob found a friend
This is the closest he will ever get to a raccoon problaby! Ha!
Tomb of an “unknown solider” they found buried here
After leaving the park we went to New Philadelphia, to see “Trumpet in the Land” an outdoor drama about the Moravian Missionaries and their impact on the Delaware Indians in that area (True story) We weren’t allowed to take pictures during the play, but they did allow us to take pictures with the actors afterwards. If you are ever in the area, go to the play. It is really good!!
The boys with the “crazy Indian woman” (she was really nice in real life)
The boys with Chief White eyes and Captain Pike
Taylor’s birthday was not while we were there, but very close to it, so Pop Pop wanted to celebrate it with him. We bought his favorite cookies and put candles in them for him to blow out. It was fun.
Taylor with Uncle Joe
Uncle Joe with some of his peeps!
Jeff’s cousin Craig and his family Chris and Clint came over that night to see us. We had a very nice visit with them.
Chris
Craig, Joe, and Clint
Afterwards we had a rousing game of Mexican Train.
Jacob had some help from his puppy
Saturday we met Jeff’s cousin Mary and her husband and son for lunch in Columbus, OH. We were sorry their older children Kaite and Tommy couldn’t be there too.
Tom and Toby
Mary always has a smile on her face.
Toby is such a cutie!
Saturday night we went to Dayton, OH and spent the night so that we could attend a free outdoor concert of Selah. What an adventure that was! We were in two cars, driving around the “seedy looking” part of Dayton trying to find the park. Thankfully Joe, who was in the lead, was not afraid to stop and ask directions (twice). Ha! We finally got to the park, after an “angel” lead us there (really). It was VERY crowded and the parking was a nightmare. We noticed two guys holding up signs for parking off to the side (for $3.00) so we decide rather uncertainly, to park there. As we started walking to the park (way down the street) we noticed a police man on a bicycle ride up to the guys and later found out, they weren’t supposed to be there charging people to park in a “government housing parking lot”. He ran them off (with our money none the less) and advised Jeff to move our cars. So Pop Pop and the boys and I found a place to sit and Jeff and Joe found a new place to park. Needless to say they missed 1/2 of Selah’s concert. As you can see from the pictures below, we got there late and were pretty far back from the stage. We had brought blankets to sit on so we couldn’t see the stage at all. But they did a beautiful job! Even in a crowd that size and with all that happened, the Spirit of Lord was in that place. I was able to worship God and enjoy His Presence!
Just to give you an idea how far back we were!
The tiny people you see on stage were the group “Selah”.
Sitting on the blankets, trying to keep warm. It was a bit cool for our Alabama blood that night, but we loved it!
People from the local Christian radio station (Jeff finally figured out out to use our zoom lens on our new camera! Ha!) Too bad it wasn’t when Selah was on stage.
The boys enjoyed playing in the park as well
Some pictures we captured that night

Hey, at least you broke your vacation up into separate posts. I put all of our time in PA into one post! I realized that made it kind of long, but I wasn't about to try to undo it. ;-)
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your trip to Ohio. :) Looks like you guys had a great time! And I do have to say.......I liked how Uncle Neal represented the great state of Arizona. LOL!
