We spent most of Monday resting. The boys were still coughing pretty bad that day so we didn’t plan too much. Jeff took me shopping at this wonderful little thrift store that his sister Joan introduced us to. I love going there every time we go up.
Tuesday we went on a hike to Brandywine Falls. What a beautiful place to hike!! Jeff and I had been before when we lived there, but had never taken this hike. Here are some pictures of our day there.
Jacob looking at the map of the area.
Beautiful landscape
Looking down the side of the mountain.
Jacob loves to pose for pictures…
Where we crossed the stream. Thankfully it hadn’t rained much in the past few days and the water was down. It was an easy crossing!!
Me and my sweetie
I loved listening to this stream!
The boys liked climbing out on this “tree bridge”. Jacob didn’t want to get his feet wet though. :o)
Wonder what they were thinking about?
Such a beautiful place!
Jeff trying to teach Jacob how to skip rocks.
Jacob and I resting in the coolness of the rocks.
Jorden heading down for a closer look at the falls…

So Beautiful!!!
Me and my boys
There were a lot of stairs down to the falls. Dad decided to wait for us at the halfway point.
Taylor was still recovering from an asthma flare up. The hike about “did him in”.
Looking up from below the rocks.
Although the hike was only 1.5 miles, it was very strenuous and there were a lot of stairs and a steep grade. We made it though we felt it in our legs the rest of the week. Ha!

The area you guys hiked in was absolutely beautiful! And I love the pictures of the boys on the log. Looks like something I would do.......
"Lord, Thank you for Jacob."
I absolutely love that boy.
Can't wait to see how God uses him.
BTW, I love the other boys too, but we sanguines do need to stick together.
