Gulf Shores State Park-2009

Last weekend, Jeff and I took our boys and Jeff's older brother-Joe with us to Orange Beach, AL. (Look for more pictures of that trip in a future post!) While we were there, we went to the Gulf Shores State Park to try to get some family pictures. However, that weekend was very stormy and although the sun came out on the day we took these pictures, it was VERY windy! None of our family pictures turned out...someone was "squinty" eyed or their hair was standing out all over (that would be me...) or they were grimacing...anyway, here are some other shots we did get. It is such a beautiful part of the beach!

These were from our hotel room Sunday morning! The only day we woke up to sunshine!! Too bad we had to leave to come home that day! :-(

Our little ham! Thinks he's a movie star...

That is the wind blowing the sand around!

All my good looking men...

"Tater bug"

"Jakey-Boo" (he would not like his mommy calling him that)

Such a handsome young man...growing up too fast on me
(his nickname was "Jor-Jor" by the way, but he is WAY to old for that :-)

Notice Jeff's lobster arms!!

I like your pictures. I know it is hard to get one of everyone looking just right! Looks like fun, at least the little bit with sun! BTW, how did Jeff get a sunburn if it was rainy the whole time?

Is that sand as soft as it looks like it is? It looks like baby powder! What a beautiful beach. Love the ideas you had for the pictures - especially the one of you and the boys. I hope you get a chance to do them again!

The sun came out Saturday about 11:00 am and we spent the next 4 hours playing on the beach. That Jeff didn't think his arms would burn! ha!

Mary Ellen-yes, our gulf beach is beautiful! The sand is very white and soft (unless it is hitting you in the leg in a wind storm! ha!)

Thank you both for the comments!
