First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school for our boys. They were so excited to be going back to school and to see their friends. Jacob is entering 2nd grade, Taylor is entering 4th grade and Jorden is entering 6th grade. They all three have wonderful teachers and we are anticipating a great school year. Here are some pictures I took. Every year since they first started school I have made a sign of the year and the grade they are entering for them to hold and they stand in the same spot. It is neat to go back and see how much they have changed and grown from year to year.
Yes, in case you are wondering-I did go shopping with my mom today. :-) (yesterday I was helping out at school)

Don't they look handsome! That is a neat idea to have them hold a sign that way...I love it!

What a great idea to have them hold the signs - wish I had thought of that!

Our turn for the photo of three (1 still at home) on Monday and then I'll feel the same way you did yesterday. "-)

Rochelle, & Mary Ellen-glad you liked the idea. I wish I could claim it as original but stole it from a magazine article in Family Fun (great parenting magazine!) I thought it was neat too!

Lisa, I cannot believe how much they have grown. Jacob appears to be as tall as Taylor (is this true?). I like your standing in the same place idea.

Hi Christine! Yes, Jacob and Taylor are nearly the same size. There is a fraction of an inch between them. Taylor weighs more though.

Lisa,
Is Jacob taking drumming lessons yet?
We need a drummer in the church. Train up a child... Use their natural talents and gifts... Channel the energy into ministry.

Hey, Lisa yes the girls are growing up too fast. To answer your question, No I am not going to make it to ladies retreat this year. That is the weekend that my in-laws have their 50th wedding anniversary. They didn't want a big party, so we, as in his whole family, are going away for the weekend.

Hi. I was at Hobe Sound the same time that your husband was there and I currently live there now. We are here to put our girls through school. Our oldest is 5 and our youngest is 20months. We started school on the 18th but missed the next two days due to Tropical Storm Fay. I just wanted to tell you that you have a wonderful family. I'm always thrilled when I see the people that I attended school with still loving Jesus in the old fashioned way. You are welcome to check out my blog. Love the idea of the signs. Very cool!! Oh yeah. My maiden name was Robinson if Jeff should be wondering who in the world this woman is...lol.
