These pictures are from our time in Ohio during Christmas. We rotate going to Ohio for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We always have so much fun. A big thank you to our Messner Family for planning such a good time for us. Thank you to Pop Pop for putting up with us at your house for a week. You are a wonderful host!
One night we went to “Hale Farms” to do their Lantern Tour. It was so awesome! These pictures were made inside the lodge. Thank You Joe, for planning this outing. What a treat it was!

Like this one!
Joe and Chris again
I think Taylor is ready to go out into the cold!
The tour took us back in time to Christmas during the Civil War era. It was so fun and very informative. Unfortunately the lighting was bad (no electricity of course) and they wouldn’t let us use a flash) Jeff played around some with the camera and got this cool picture. Too bad the one of Joe leading the singing in the church didn’t turn out. ![]()

Pop Pop opening his gifts
Taylor with his new blanket! Everyone was fighting him for this.
We gave Joe a new leather wallet, made by my dad. We put it in a box that made him think it was memory for a computer. (He doesn’t own a computer) His expression was priceless!
But he was thrilled when he opened the box and realized what it really was.
Uncle Joe is NOT a coffee drinker.. He used to be, but went cold turkey and now drinks hot tea like Jeff and I…I like our little “tea club”.
Jacob putting together one of his Lego sets.
Getting ready to play games
Catan!
Unfortunately it did not snow while we were in Ohio this year. That is quite unusual, but maybe it means they will have a mild winter this year.
A black squirrel outside Pop Pop’s kitchen
