Hiawassee, Georgia-2011

This was our 9th year to go to north Georgia. I can’t believe it’s been that long!! At the end of this post I am going to post a picture from our first year along with this years. It is amazing how much the boys have grown!! Of course, the rest of us have stayed the same….Ha! Ha!  Get ready, this is a LONG post!

Hate how the lighting messed this picture up. Just shows how I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to picture taking.

This day we went hiking at Unicoi State Park in Helen, Georgia. Mom and Dad were not able to go with us because mom had torn a ligament in her leg the day before. We missed having them with us so much!! This was our first time on this particular trail. It took us down to “Anna Ruby Falls” which according to the park ranger, is the most visited falls in Georgia. Beautiful!! The pictures we took don’t do it justice!!

Fall Color

The trees in North Carolina are further along in color than they are in Alabama. Again, this picture does not do it justice.

Too Funny

Those of you that know my mom and I, know that when we get tickled at something it is hard for us to stop laughing. It doesn’t take much for us to get like that too. We got started laughing and couldn’t stop. It got funnier because Jeff was taking our pictures. I kept telling him to stop, but he thought it was funny to keep taking us laughing like this. I didn’t post them all, but here are a few of us laughing our heads off….

IMG_1200

I really wanted Jeff to wait till I stopped laughing to take our picture, but he doesn’t always listen to me…

IMG_1201

IMG_1203IMG_1204IMG_1205    Yes, I cry when I laugh….I can’t help it!!

IMG_1206 Still out of control….

IMG_1207

I finally just had to sit down and try to pull myself together. Everyone around us probably thought we had lost our minds.

IMG_1209

Finally, we got it together enough to take a nice picture!!

Photo Shoot…

Jacob loves to swing, especially on the rope swing, out over the creek…

Another one growing up toooo fast!

We so enjoy Pop Pop (Jeff’s Dad) getting to come down and spend this time with us each year. Out of the 9 yrs we’ve been going, he has only missed one.

IMG_1232

We also are very blessed to have my parents join us each year. They too have only missed one year out of the past nine.

Love this picture and this couple!!!

Picture taking is starting to lose it’s appeal….

One of our favorite stops on the way home.

IMG_1268IMG_1269

Jeff thought this was funny-taking their picture outside the bathrooms…right next to the hand sanitizer. Maybe because I was fussing so bad about that stuff. It was green and gritty, and smelled awful. Too bad I didn’t know that before I used it….

Not quite in the same order, but you get the idea. These were both taken at Rib Country, a restaurant we enjoy going to every time we go to Hiawassee, although they were taken at different locations.
