It’s too hot for school to start back isn’t it? There surely is a law about that somewhere right? No, I guess not cause here we go again!! Even though it’s 400 degrees outside, the calendar says it’s time to go back to school. Even though it feels like we just put the school stuff away (though I think ours sat in the garage all summer right were the kids put them, straight out of the van on the day they got home from the last day of school), it’s time to go to Wal Mart and buy all that stuff again. My living room looks like the school supply isle exploded in it! We bought extra packs of paper this year while it is on sale for .75 so that in the middle of the year when the boys run out, I don’t have to pay 1.75 for it. I hate that!! I’m rambling….sorry about that.
This year the first day had it’s own “first”. Taylor got “pink eye” so he couldn’t go to school. I hated that! Who misses the first day of school?? Argggg!! It’s one of the coolest days of the year. Everyone is dressed in new school clothes, and happy to be back with their friends. Usually they are on their best behavior…feeling out the new teacher. (at least we teachers hope and pray they are on their best behavior). Our school plans lots of exciting thing for the students on the first day to make it really special. I just hate that he missed that. He was pretty disappointed too.
Taylor enters the 6th grade this year. Last year of elementary!!
I told him to make a sad face since he is just “posing” here and not really going to school on the first day.
Jacob enters 4th grade; Jorden enters 8th grade!
The first day of school!!
We have taken pictures here in front of our door in the living room every year since they started Preschool. It is amazing to see how much they grow each year!!
Taylor came with us to school for a little while that morning so Jeff took him down to his classroom to get a picture. Then he went to NanNaw’s for the day.
This is Taylor’s teacher-Holly Walker. The interesting thing is, she taught Taylor in Kindergarten (her first year of teaching) and now she has moved to 5th/6th grade (her first year in those grades) . J She is a great teacher though!! We are thrilled to have her again. (Wondering if she’ll move to High School when Taylor is in 12th grade??)
Jorden at his locker…
Jacob is all set to begin class!
This is our sixth year with Mrs. Crotts. Each one of our boys has had her two years in a row and our boys are all two years apart in school. Ha! We love and appreciate her so much. All three of our boys love her too! She is a wonderful teacher!! It will be very hard to move out of her room at the end of the year this school year.
Some of Jacob’s classmates….
I think this is going to be a great year for all three boys. They all have wonderful, God-fearing teachers. I am so thankful to be able to send them to a Christian Day School!! I am very blessed!! And I happen to think the Bible Methodist Christian School is the Greatest!! JJJ
