Oct. 31, 2008

Here are some recent pictures from Oct. 31, 2008.
Mom had my niece at her house for a little while and she was dressed as a "fairy princess" for her party at her day care that day. She is such a doll!

We have a tradition of getting together with our friends Joseph and Christy and their three children every year on Halloween. I fix chili for the adults and usually hot dogs or chicken nuggets for the kids. After we eat we go around to the area churches in our town that have a "fall festival" event. They are always free with lots of fun things for kids to do that is safe. Here are a few snap shots of our kids doing that and what they wore that night. The costumes were all borrowed from Christy. She collects costumes and stores them at our church for us to use in church or school plays. She has a great selection! I have noticed as the kids get older they are less inclined to dress up. You will notice her daughter Jessie didn't dress up at all this year and Jorden our oldest only wore a silly hat. By the end of the night, the others had come out of most of their costumes! I was carrying the majority of it. But we all had a great time!

Taylor trying his hand at putt-putt... He was a "king"

Jessie loves birds and has several of her own. She was fascinated with this guy's "pet"

Jorden -not too dressed up this year-love that smile!!

Joel the youngest in the group, was a dinosaur

Taylor-quite the handsome "king"

Ryan-wore a cape-not sure what he was supposed to be, but he had fun!

Jacob was a knight-most of his costume was carried by mom before the night was over!
