Wanted By God

Yesterday ended a five week skit that our Kid's For Christ Ministry did of which I am a team member. Jeff had to replace a friend of ours who had been playing the part of "Davy" but was away yesterday on vacation with his family.

It was Hilarious!! Jeff parted his hair in the middle with gel and wore baggy overalls. He did a great job ad libbing for the part. The story is a "Wild West" version of David and Saul. It was really cute and the kids loved it. Everyone came in yesterday to watch the final scenes because it involved so many of our adults. My dad was the "Indian Chief" and he looked pretty hilarious! Here are pictures from yesterday. If any of you that were in the play read this... you all did a Great Job! Jeff and Leonard played the part of "Davy" and "Windy". "Windy" represented the voice of God and the narrator.
Pastor John was one of the Indians. He looked so hysterical. He said that was the only time we would ever see him in pig tails. LOL That is Julie Schultz in the corner. She played the part of "Snake-Oil Snidely" which represented the devil.
The kids get to wear cowboy hats and bandanna's and sheriff badges each week. This is Jacob and his friend Ryan.
Some of the boys that ride the van for church. While they can be a handful at times, it is a great privilege to be able to share God's love for them. Some of these kids have been coming for years!

Bethany Fleming played the part of "Clementine" (Davy's girlfriend, Saul's daughter) and
Andy Schultz was "Sheriff Saul"
Daniel Walker and Daddy both played Indians. Daniel kept us in stitches with his accent.

This was the entire Cast and all the kids (not including the teen class) in our KFC ministry and beginner and preteen class.

No, I wasn't in the play as an actor anyway. I was the sign bearer. I held up signs to tell the audience when to -cheer, boo, clap, ect. It was a lot of fun and I was quite content to do that.
There are more pictures on our church web site from other weeks that you are welcome to look at. I have a wonderful church family with lots of talented people that are always willing to do whatever they need to do to help out.

Lisa,
Thank you for coming and checking out my blog. I'm not as faithful these days in keeping up with everything. My growing stomach is an excuse to not have time to do everything.

Looks like you have a great childrens ministry at your church. I'm sure everyone did a fantastic job in the play!
Have a great day!
